Auction result well in line with expectations
The work About to jump in the shower by Joe Reihsen was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,561.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joe Reihsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Destruction probable but not guaranteed, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.561,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joe Reihsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Destruction probable but not guaranteed beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) versteigert wurde.
