Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fuzzy Wuzzy by Joe Bradley was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 756.00 (€ 681.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Bradley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tres Hombres in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,913,274.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fuzzy Wuzzy von Joe Bradley im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 756,00 (€ 681,51) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Bradley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tres Hombres im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.913.274,00).
