The work Glasgow Children by Joan Eardley was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September last year. It achieved a price of GBP 9,562.50 (€ 10,883.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Eardley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beggars In Venice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).

Die Arbeit Glasgow Children von Joan Eardley kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 10.883,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Eardley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beggars In Venice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08).
