Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Christies in Paris held the auction Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers, which included the work Traumanama 1 (the cry of the gland) by Jitish Kallat. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,560.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jitish Kallat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers durch, in der auch die Arbeit Traumanama 1 (the cry of the gland) von Jitish Kallat zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.560,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jitish Kallat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
