Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Indemnity Bond by Jitish Kallat was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,973.16). Admittedly, works by Jitish Kallat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Indemnity Bond von Jitish Kallat kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.973,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jitish Kallat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
