Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Secret Affair (Gold) by Jim Lambie. The price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 25,751.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jim Lambie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Careless Whisper in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 203,117.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Secret Affair (Gold) von Jim Lambie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 25.751,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jim Lambie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Careless Whisper im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 203.117,21).
