Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Rhododendrons by a window by Jessica Hayllar. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,912.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessica Hayllar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Coming Event in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rhododendrons by a window von Jessica Hayllar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.912,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Coming Event im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63).
