This artwork by Jessica Hayllar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2020. In the British and European Art auction, the work Fresh from the greenhouse sold for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 90,763.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jessica Hayllar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Coming Event, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jessica Hayllar erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Fresh from the greenhouse für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 90.763,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Coming Event beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63) versteigert wurde.
