It achieved a price of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,220.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. Admittedly, works by Jessica Hayllar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Coming Event in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit A picture in itself von Jessica Hayllar kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.220,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Coming Event im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63).
