Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Britishwhen First We Meet by Jessica Hayllar for USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,654.05). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessica Hayllar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Coming Event in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Britishwhen First We Meet von Jessica Hayllar für USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.654,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Coming Event im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63).
