Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Azaleas by Jessica Hayllar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,852.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessica Hayllar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Coming Event in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Azaleas von Jessica Hayllar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.852,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Coming Event im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63).
