Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Grove of Trees, Ashokan, New York by Jervis McEntee was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,274.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jervis McEntee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).

Die Arbeit A Grove of Trees, Ashokan, New York von Jervis McEntee kam im September 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.274,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jervis McEntee erzielen.
