Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Untitled (from Memory Bucket) by Jeremy Deller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,390.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeremy Deller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Uses of Literacy in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 77,422.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (from Memory Bucket) von Jeremy Deller zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.390,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeremy Deller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Uses of Literacy im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 77.422,05).
