This artwork by Jeremy Deller achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in October this year. In the POP X Culture auction, the work History of the World, 1998 sold for GBP 5,376.00 (€ 6,173.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeremy Deller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Uses of Literacy in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 77,422.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeremy Deller erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion POP X Culture wurde die Arbeit History of the World, 1998 für GBP 5.376,00 (€ 6.173,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeremy Deller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Uses of Literacy im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 77.422,05).
