Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Mrs William Hayley, Née Elizabeth Ball (1750-1797) by Jeremiah Meyer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,764.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeremiah Meyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Student In The Robes Of A Westminster Scholar, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 16,100.00 (€ 20,525.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Mrs William Hayley, Née Elizabeth Ball (1750-1797) von Jeremiah Meyer kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.764,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeremiah Meyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Student In The Robes Of A Westminster Scholar beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 16.100,00 (€ 20.525,22) versteigert wurde.
