This artwork by Jeff Koons achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Monkey Train (Dots) sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 49,706.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Koons erzielte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Monkey Train (Dots) für USD 52.500,00 (€ 49.706,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
