Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Jeff Elrod could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Second Draft, (the secret sharer) changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,661.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jeff Elrod have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Elrod konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Second Draft, (the secret sharer) für USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.661,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
