Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Editions Contemporary: Online Auction, which included the work Green Echo by Jeff Elrod. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,446.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Elrod achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Editions Contemporary: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Echo von Jeff Elrod zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.446,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
