Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Images by Jeanne Dunning. The price achieved of USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,543.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeanne Dunning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,079.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images von Jeanne Dunning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.543,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeanne Dunning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.079,85) versteigert wurde.
