Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Head 1 by Jeanne Dunning. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,025.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeanne Dunning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,079.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head 1 von Jeanne Dunning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.025,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeanne Dunning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Neck, 1990; And Detail #16, 1992 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.079,85) versteigert wurde.
