This artwork by Jean Puy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2009. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Nu Au Peignoir sold for GBP 73,250.00 (€ 85,956.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. This high result makes Nu Au Peignoir the most expensive artwork by Jean Puy that we have observed at auctions so far.
