Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora, which included the work Still life with eggs by Jean Pougny. The price achieved of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,627.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Pougny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chaise Et Boîte À Chapeaux in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,354,727.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with eggs von Jean Pougny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.627,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Pougny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chaise Et Boîte À Chapeaux im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.762.500,00 (€ 1.354.727,13).
