Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three lithographs Scène de plage: signed with edition number '109/220' in pencil (lower right border); by Jean Pougny was sold in the L'Ecole de ParisA Modernist Diaspora auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 446.25 (€ 518.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Pougny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chaise Et Boîte À Chapeaux in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,762,500.00 (€ 1,354,727.13).
