The work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As The Marquise De Montespan (1640-1707), Circa 1670 by Jean Petitot the Elder was sold in the Swiss Made UNLOCKED auction at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2020. It achieved a price of CHF 3,000 (€ 2,822), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Jean Petitot the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 20,000 (€ 22,424).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As The Marquise De Montespan (1640-1707), Circa 1670 von Jean Petitot the Elder wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CHF 3.000 (€ 2.822) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Petitot the Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000 (€ 22.424).
