This artwork by Jean Petitot the Elder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Nobleman, Traditionally Identified As Louis De Bourbon, Prince De Condé sold for GBP 16,250 (€ 19,206) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Petitot the Elder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot sold at auction in July 2018 with the realized price of GBP 20,000 (€ 22,424).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Petitot the Elder erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Nobleman, Traditionally Identified As Louis De Bourbon, Prince De Condé für GBP 16.250 (€ 19.206) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000.
