The work A farmyard; and Cows in a meadow by Jean Hugo was sold in the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,620.79), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Métamorphoses in April 2012 with an auction result of EUR 69,400.00.

Die Arbeit A farmyard; and Cows in a meadow von Jean Hugo wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.620,79) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Métamorphoses im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.400,00.
