Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,680.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Choc De Cavalerie in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 11,875.00.

Die Arbeit Une armée sortant d'un fort von Jean Duplessis-Bertaux kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.680,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Duplessis-Bertaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Choc De Cavalerie im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.875,00.
