This artwork by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2008. In the Old Master Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Choc De Cavalerie sold for EUR 11,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. This high result makes Choc De Cavalerie the most expensive artwork by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux that we have observed at auctions so far.
