Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures, which included the work Summer Pastimes by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,298.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Choc De Cavalerie, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 11,875.00.

Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Pastimes von Jean Duplessis-Bertaux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.298,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Duplessis-Bertaux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Choc De Cavalerie beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 11.875,00 versteigert wurde.
