Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work An Elegant Young Woman by Jean Pillement for USD 1,764.00 (€ 1,502.17). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings and Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Pillement achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Elegant Young Woman von Jean Pillement für USD 1.764,00 (€ 1.502,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Pillement erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.300,00 (€ 123.287,67).
