Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A pair of pastoral landscapes with peasants and sheep by Jean Pillement was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,495.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Pillement have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A pair of pastoral landscapes with peasants and sheep von Jean Pillement wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.495,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Pillement auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.300,00 (€ 123.287,67).
