In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Pastoral landscape with shepherds and their flock to the left by Jean Pillement. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,495.32), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Pillement have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pastoral landscape with shepherds and their flock to the left von Jean Pillement zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.495,32) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Pillement auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.300,00 (€ 123.287,67).
