Die Arbeit The Arts Triumphant Over The Vices von Jean-Baptiste Deshays kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 7.937,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Deshays auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.828,35).
