Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Joseph And Potiphar'S Wife by Jean-Baptiste Deshays was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,040.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Deshays - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Young Woman, Said To Be Madame Deshays, Turning Towards The Viewer And Holding A Book, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,828.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Joseph And Potiphar'S Wife von Jean-Baptiste Deshays kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.040,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%.
