Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Tel Aviv Man XVI by Jaume Plensa. The price achieved of USD 228,600.00 (€ 214,567.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jaume Plensa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twins I and II in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,130,000.00 (€ 1,025,501.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tel Aviv Man XVI von Jaume Plensa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 228.600,00 (€ 214.567,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaume Plensa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twins I and II im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.130.000,00 (€ 1.025.501,41).
