Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sanna in Umeå by Jaume Plensa was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 457,700.00 (€ 419,600.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaume Plensa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twins I and II, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 1,130,000.00 (€ 1,025,501.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sanna in Umeå von Jaume Plensa wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 457.700,00 (€ 419.600,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaume Plensa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twins I and II beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 1.130.000,00 (€ 1.025.501,41) versteigert wurde.
