Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Silent rain - 2003 by Jaume Plensa was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 301,760.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaume Plensa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twins I and II, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 1,130,000.00 (€ 1,025,501.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Silent rain - 2003 von Jaume Plensa wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 301.760,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaume Plensa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twins I and II beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 1.130.000,00 (€ 1.025.501,41) versteigert wurde.
