Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jason Martin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Santé sold for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 34,723.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origin, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jason Martin erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Santé für GBP 30.240,00 (€ 34.723,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origin beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46) versteigert wurde.
