Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Cell by Jason Martin. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,970.00 (€ 12,849.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Origin in July this year with an auction result of GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cell von Jason Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.970,00 (€ 12.849,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Origin im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46).
