Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jason Boyd Kinsella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Study for Jean-Michel sold for USD 40,320.00 (€ 39,058.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Boyd Kinsella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thaws in May last year with an auction result of USD 441,000.00 (€ 410,958.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jason Boyd Kinsella erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Study for Jean-Michel für USD 40.320,00 (€ 39.058,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Boyd Kinsella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thaws im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.000,00 (€ 410.958,90).
