A top price for Jan Wolkers - as previously expected
In June 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TwentiethCentury Art, which included this untitled work by Jan Wolkers. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Jan Wolkers that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TwentiethCentury Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan Wolkers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jan Wolkers, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
