Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 4 Landschappen in Europa by Jan Wolkers was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2002. The price achieved of EUR 478.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 450.00 – 550.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Wolkers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 4 Landschappen in Europa von Jan Wolkers wurde im Mai 2002 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 478,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 450,00 – 550,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Wolkers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
