Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Harbour of Rotterdam in summer by Jan Weissenbruch was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Weissenbruch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Harbour of Rotterdam in summer von Jan Weissenbruch wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Weissenbruch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 345.000,00 (€ 158.348,55).
