Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bleachfields in the dunes by Jan Weissenbruch was sold in the 19th Century & Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Weissenbruch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bleachfields in the dunes von Jan Weissenbruch wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century & Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Weissenbruch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 345.000,00 (€ 158.348,55).
