Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Dutch a Dutch Canal by Jan Weissenbruch for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,523.41). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Weissenbruch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 345,000.00 (€ 158,348.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dutch a Dutch Canal von Jan Weissenbruch für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.523,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Weissenbruch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bomschuiten at sea on a cloudy day im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 345.000,00 (€ 158.348,55).
