Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Along The River At Sunset by Jan Vrolijk was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,600.00. Other works by Jan Vrolijk have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work Dutch Early Morning at EUR 6,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Along The River At Sunset von Jan Vrolijk im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.600,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Vrolijk wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2008 die Arbeit Dutch Early Morning mit EUR 6.850,00.
