Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Cavalli in combattimento by Jan van der Straet for EUR 1,386.00. This price was achieved in the auction Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van der Straet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Caccia All'Elefante"; An Extensive Landscape With An Elephant Hunt in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 241,250.00 (€ 297,528.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cavalli in combattimento von Jan van der Straet für EUR 1.386,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van der Straet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Caccia All'Elefante"; An Extensive Landscape With An Elephant Hunt im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 241.250,00 (€ 297.528,25).
