It achieved a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,613.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van der Straet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Caccia All'Elefante"; An Extensive Landscape With An Elephant Hunt in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 241,250.00 (€ 297,528.25).

Die Arbeit Jupiter, On His Eagle, Enthroned In The Clouds von Jan van der Straet wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.613,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van der Straet erzielen.
