The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Beers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Après le bal in March last year with an auction result of GBP 319,000.00 (€ 378,210.40).
