Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work In the hammock by Jan van Beers. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Beers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Après le bal in March last year with an auction result of GBP 319,000.00 (€ 378,210.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the hammock von Jan van Beers zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Beers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Après le bal im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 319.000,00 (€ 378.210,40).
